i want to start racing but i dont know what i need first
which mods to do to my 400ex and what other things will i need i have a truck and a trailer so what else

what kind of racing first? GNCC(cross country) or MX(motocross)?

alright well for MX u need a killswitch(prodesign), nerfs(AC), 18in rear tires(Kenda) 20in front tires(Kenda), some handelbars(TAG), all the gear for you to go ride, exhaust, filter, and if you have alot more money you can get suspension and a-arms.

all you need is a kill switch. hell, you really dont need a trailer, but those foldable awning things are nice to have at the track. basically just go out and race for a while. get used to it. decide if you like it or not. the # 1 thing ive found is to keep your bike maintained. dont let it go to ****. that, and HAVE FUN!!!

thats more for GNCC or XC, you want lower profile tires for MX. Most of the people that race MX have 18in rear and 20in front.

ive got air filter custom intake wb r4 exhaust on the way nerfs jet kit 14 tooth sproket 20in rear tires 22in front holeshot xcrs around revbox

the xcrs are more of a narrowere and lower profile tire than most its size

Those tires will work for now. When you get more serious you'll need to upgrade. Your going to have to remove or tape off you lights as well. Make sure you levers have balls on the ends, you can get dq's for it. Other than that go out and see if you even like it then work on your quad. Good luck.

that is pretty well all i have bought yet ( i think).
