If you are a duner, then Elka has a dune-specific shock that would be nice for you. They are valved a bit more plush than the racing shocks so it would be more forgiving on the trail as well. Plus later down the road if you wanted to ride MX or XC, you could just send them into a shop to get revalved. I absolutely love my PEP shocks, but they would be overkill for your needs. You may want to look into Fox FLOAT series air shocks as well :)

No problem man.

Here is the link for the Elka Dune series shocks: http://www.elkasuspension.com/duneedition.html

FLOAT shocks link:

Your best bet though: Call each company and explain to them what you are looking for in a shock, your type of riding, etc. They will point you in the right direction.

If you dont think that you are goin to race i would personally look into gettin some elka rec series shocks too they are only like $400-$500 and that way you will have plenty of money for a-arms too.

From what I'm hearing you'd be just fine with some Works AT Steelers or Elka Rec Series, no ressy.

no recreational shocks dont have rezzies but u can put them on for an some more $$, but u dont really need them unless ur racing all there for is to help cool the suspension because when the suspension is boucing constantly it heats up and starts to kick back and give out

you don't need rebound adjustment either for what you are doing. The shock will have the rebound preset by an expert for your weight.

You only need the compression adjustment.

Ya no prob elka rec series are a perfect shock for the weekend duner. I know many people that run them around here and you wont be dissapointed look into getting a-arms too. Elka rec series with +2" a-arms is a killer combination for duning.

There's some pics and descriptions of them also. I know they sell a "pro-elite"(i think its called) kit that comes with arms and elka rec's for like $1000. I remember seein the kit from them in a few mags a while back. Give them a call, maby they still offer it. Good luck with whatever you get!

If i was you i would look on ebay, hellbound racing sells burgard arms on there for $390 either that or contact pappy he sells them too. For duning and trail riding i would get burgard $400, American star racing $350, houser is good too but on the more expensive side of rec arms $450.
