View Full Version : what ball joints?

My brother in law has a 250r with an older set of Laeger a arms on it and he needs a ball joint for it.It has 14mm in it.Is this the same as the VW bug tie rod ends?Thanks in advance.

"It depends on whos arms you have. Laeger use to use a VW ball joint which was 14mm.
The automotive ball joint is made by Moog and the part number is ES2074R. It's from
a 80-82 Mazda B-2000 truck and is a inner tie rod end.I have had better luck with
Moog number ES3045RL. These are tie rods from an 89-98 Geo Tracker."

EXtreme you have made my day! I've been trying to match those ball joints with automotive tie rod ends for a long time now with no luck! I'm sure ther're much cheaper than the laeger ones! Any idea how much they are? Thanks a million!
