custom ram air mod

so my dad had this idea to put scoops on my airbox. he made some quick ones at work and we slapped them on. they look like tinner air scoops for the 250r. they basically suck air in at the sides then go in thruogh a hole i drilled out. but i put some mesh foam inside it to help filter leaves and junk. the faster i go the more power i get. have any of you guys done this before? i cant get my webcam to work so ill have my friend do it with his digital camera when i get a chance.

i was planning on making something like that for my 400 i was trying to figure out a way to run a air duct to the front of the quad to pull in clean and cooler fresh air but im awaiting to get it back i owned it for 2 months and had it in my own posession for a week and a half it sucks that the quad shop is backed up and the motor is screwed:(

if this really works you might have some problems because when you get more air to your engine your jetting gets leaner, so when your goin slow you'll rich and as you speed up you'll get leaner and leaner

yah it wouldn't really make much differance either unless you were up in 3rd gear or so and most tracks I ride at I never click 4th unless its bluff creek.
