System recovory help

I need to do a system recovory on my computer. I have a dell and it has windows XP. I got the computer last summer. How do i do one. I remeber pressing control or alt something. Please Help. (its not one of the F keys by its self.)

what i do on my xp is go to start then to help and support and then theres a thing that says system restore, hope i helped:cool:
