i have two striped screws from trying to take the needle out of the carb the braket that holds them in the piston thing the screws are striped what should i do? help me

This is a very sensative area. First of all take of the carb if you have not already.

I dont know how bad they are stripped but try using the best fitting screwdriver you could find. You could try to find some kind of easy out tool but its gonna be hard because it is such a sensative area.

Try getting a small flathead in there and push down firmly while trying to turn it. You could also tap *lightly** on the screw driver with a small hammer while its on the screw to loosen the screw a little and ensure a very good fit in the screw. This is a very sticky situation.

are they already out? if so get a dremal and make a slot in them

or i would buy new ones


if its still in there try as many different bits as you can

Try to also avoid leaving any shavings in there from the screws. This is why i would recommend removing it from the quad.

i got them out but need a new a new sleve thing for 50 bucks at honda/

Oh you stripped out the holes? They are very small so depending on how bad they are you might beable to rethread them.

Also you might beable to buy a used 400ex carb on ebay for 50 bucks and keep the old one for parts.

Id rather buy the hole carb for 50 then just the sleeve.
