I have a 2003 300ex and i am going to put alot of hop up parts on it and all of my friends i ride with tell me im retarded for racing a 300ex bacause it wont have enough power to clear even doubles and im just wondering if this is true.. i mean if you look below thats all of the stuff i am doing to the bike and plz sum-1 let me knwo if this bikeis worth my time.. thanks alot...

By what you have posted that you have on you 300, you will do just fine on it. Of course that all depends on what class you are racing and what skill level you are also. My son just started racing his 300 a few weeks ago and he is beating guys in the C class that are on 450's.
Good luck and show them what the little thumper will do!

What does your so have on his 300??
as in pipe filter and that sort of stuff???

if u plan on putting all that stuff on that your showing in your signiture then you will be fine racing. I have a 300ex with a pipe/filter and proper jetting and i can clear 50ft doubles.

get a pipe, cam, filter, and some good suspension and you can clear most any double that a 450r can, depending on your riding skill

o ok thanks alot guyz.. since i know all of this now i am going to get busy and start practcing every day on my frieds doubles and hopefully i could win a race.. well thanks for your help..

300EX's are cool that's what I first started out racing on and to this day is the only quad I have ever owned without blowing a motor. It was rather slow but for a begginer that's not such a big deal. I say race it I ran mine for 2 years with only a supertrapp shorty, twin air filter, wheel spacers, and some maxxis razr MX's.
