actually, the stocker brake pads are the best. They are very spendy though...DP is supposed to make some pretty good ones. That's what I'm going with here in a few weeks.

i wasnt happy with the severe ebc's that i got. i ordered all galfers braking componets and i hope that it will be better (stainless lines, $120 rotor, and pads) but i dont think they were installed properly...

I had ordered Braking pads for the whole ex and put a set on the rear just before a dice run to see how they would work. I was highly disappointed to find that I wore out a whole set in just 3 hours of a dice run. All the way down to metal on metal. I also ruined my disk. I then contacted the person that I bought them from who looked into the problem for me and showed the rep my actual spent pads. The rep laughed and said no way. I then contacted Braking myself. I spoke to the customer service dept. They were very nice and said that my incident with wearing them out in one ride was only the second time that they ever heard something like that. They told me that they would send me a new set of pads and sell me a wave rotor at dealer cost. So I got the pads and the rotor.

BUT I still am not happy with the performance of the pads. I will be going to DunloPads which were recommended to me by Jeff at the quadshop.

Thought that I would share a little insite to my experience with braking. They were nice enough to help me out but I still was not happy with their product. The new pads didn't hold up much better, but the rotor is nice.

I'd say....stockers, because then you'll know your getting some good pads and wont have to worry about getting crappy pads.

I use DP or stockers. I tried a set of Nilson pads because I could get them really cheap but they were junk, didn't last one ride. I'd say stick to the name brands like DP or EBC.

I used EBC kevlars and they lasted about 20 minutes.. I then called Terry marcum and said send me a set of your best breakpads. they Retailed for like $32 and they've lasted along time with no sign of wear...the name was vausch or something like that. :huh

i use stock pads but anyway after u ride in the mud and u hear like the grains of dirt grinding how do u clean that out? Dont say spray some water in there cuz that doesnt work. I dunno how to get it out and im sure that wears the oads faster. Thanks

I use Braking Under COntrol Sintered Metal pads. They are great, got a good deal on them too! I think like $22 a set, I didnt think that was bad. They are worth it...:D

To keep mine clean, I bought some automotive brake cleaner. It works o.k. But Its best to just take the wheel of and take those pads out and clean em, and clean out the holes in the disc's (they hold most of the mud/dirt).
