Wow, we almost had the place to ourselves by arriving early on a friday morning.

Pappy

This is teh first real test for cody's new quad, and thankfully no real issues.

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:16 PM
He did laps on each track, and we now have a better idea of what gearing we need to run

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:19 PM
He really liked the first track at Breezewood, but it's layout is better suited for full sized quads. The elevation changes do not help the mini quads pick up speed to really hit the full size jumps, but he gave them hell anyway:D

nice!! i cant wait till the 6th and 7th:cool:

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:20 PM
With a larger front sprocket, he feels he can clear a few of the table tops

JRP
04-21-2006, 01:21 PM
that looks awsome. before u know it he will be on a 450 permanatley. :blah:

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:22 PM
Cody hit the step up 4th gear pinned:p He could almost clear it

04-21-2006, 01:23 PM
thats bulldoody a little kid can ride 100x's better then me :blah: keep it up man!!! :blah: :blah: :blah:

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:24 PM
The big 100ft table dwarfs the mini quad, but he hit her anyway:cool:

04-21-2006, 01:24 PM
WOW! Now thats talent!!:eek2:

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:25 PM
Im sure after a few more trips to this track and a few tweaks to the quad, he will be getting more air and faster lap times

400exrules
04-21-2006, 01:26 PM
hah, he jumps farther then me

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:26 PM
The Elka shocks sucked up whatever he threw at them

WhiteYFZ
04-21-2006, 01:27 PM
wow this kid is awesome..!!!

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:29 PM
He did manage to clear the grandstand step up a few times, but I would like to see him way over it

WhiteYFZ
04-21-2006, 01:31 PM
yp pappy how long does it take u to get to breezewood? i know its gonna take me 4.5 hours :eek2:

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:32 PM
The front 50 footer, well, he needs about 8 more feet to get the downside:p

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:35 PM
The largest table on the kids track is kind of rough, but with the new suspension he handled it

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:37 PM
Breezewood is about 50 minutes from my front door

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:39 PM
We did suffer some problems, the rear brake locked up, not sure why. I fixed it and off he went for more laps

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:40 PM
Then his throttle cable broke...well I am not sure what broke but I am thinking thats what it is.

04-21-2006, 01:42 PM
you went home after the cable broke? why is this kid not in school :p

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:42 PM
I reckon that is what testing is all about, finding the weak spots

WhiteYFZ
04-21-2006, 01:43 PM
im guessing hees on break
like me

He actually did 4 or 5 laps with the throttle hung 3/4 open:p And they had spring break this week.

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:46 PM
The last tire is the edge of the step up, I got this pic to show he did indeed clear it:p

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:48 PM
He had a blast, and next week should be even better

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:49 PM
By the time we had to leave, he was getting a few of the jumps down. If teh cable had not broken I think he would have been clearing a few of the 40 footers

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:53 PM
I wish Natalie had been there today instead of yesterday, that would have been cool getting a picture of them two side by side in the air:devil:

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:54 PM
Cody rips on the kids track, I may ask dan to expand it and open it up a bit

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:55 PM
I need to build that track here at my place:cool:

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:57 PM
4th gear is whats needed on a fullsize quad to get over this table(400ex anyway:p )

Pappy
04-21-2006, 01:59 PM
A 50 footer seems like a long way when your quad is only 43 inches long:p

Pappy
04-21-2006, 02:01 PM
Even though its way to big for him to clear on this 90, it does give him expierence in a fairly safe way.

JHF219
04-21-2006, 02:03 PM
hrmm that track looks familiar hopefully i will be on it again soon

Pappy
04-21-2006, 02:04 PM

Pappy
04-21-2006, 02:14 PM

and btw, anyone wanting $1000 off a new 05 450r, Ridersville is the place to call;)

So Birch Creek this coming weekend eh????? Gotta get a GNC plaque for his wall of shame.

Pappy
04-23-2006, 08:09 AM
wall of shame:confused:

Not sure we are racing any nationals this season, just locals. I am pretty sure he would have to run 90 mod in the nationals, and I dont think this little thumper engine has what it takes to be competitive on a MX track against 80cc 2 strokes:p

Next year may be a different story, but for this year its all about learning MX

There u go! It always made me mad to see pics of him jumping and knowing what hes doing but hes racing XC. Knowing how to jump like that is something u dont want to go to waste!

I cant wait to go to Breezewood n learn some things from Cody ;)
