400-450r

I am going to buy a new quad i want either a 400ex or a 450r. i am not really going to race much, but i just like to ride with my friends. we like to ride in the sand. what sould i get money isn't an issue.

The new 450r was redesigned for 2006. The engine has a lot of new power, and Honda has done some other modifcations to the bike. I believe it is a little wider and longer.
The suspension on the 450r is a lot better thant he 400ex. You have a more relaxed ride on it than the 400ex.

The 400ex had some small modifications. Reverse is one, and it also has new plastics. It resembles a 450r now.


If you ask me go with the 450r. Not only will it hold its value a little better than the 400 for resale it's just a fun bike to have for recreational riding.

my other friends tell me to get a 400 sense i am not going to race much... what yall think?

i say go with the 450r if you can. teh 400 is great, but the 450r is better out of teh box. to get the 400 up the the level of teh 450r in suspesion and power you could have easily bought the 450.

i have both. the 450r is good for trails, but the suspension is stiff for trails...that will be fixed after a gt thunder revalve in the fall.
i love the 450r, but i think if i were to do it again, i would get another 400ex...maybe

450r for sure. The 400EX isn't near the bike a 450 is, and honestly, the only true advantage of the 400EX is reverse on the newer models.

If you are going to ride dunes quite a bit I would deffinately get the 450r. It will get around in the dunes a lot better than the 400ex will. If money isn't an issue get a 450r.

Yeh both are great bikes but if the money isnt an issue deffinetely go for the 450.

ya definately get the 450r, it has alot more perks than the 400 and you would just plain out have more fun on it, your friends are probably tellin ya to get the 400 cuz when you do finally race they dont want u to waste em, lol
