View Full Version : IMS Pegs...what nerfs?

I have IMS pegs on my YFZ450, and I recently bought GYT-R nerf bars. I went to bolt them up, and the mounting holes are way off. I'm going to have to drill the pegs instead of the nerfs, so I'm not sure what I want to to. Anyone have any ideas? Or does anyone have YFZ nerfs that will fit IMS pegs that are interested in trading for some GYT-R nerfs? Thanks guys.

switch back to the stock pegs? that's what the GYT-R nerfs are made for... sell the ims pegs and put the stocker's back on... problem solved:cool: that's just what i'd do

Do NOT put the stock pegs back on!:rolleyes: Either drill the pegs or have aluminum added to the nerfs. We had material added to the nerfs so we could use the holes in the pegs for the heal guards. Just don't sell the pegs, that is a waste and they are much better than the stockers.

good luck getting through IMS pegs, we tryed to drill and tap mine so the nerfs would bolt right into them but we couldnt even come close to success, lol

IMS now makes their own nerf bars that will fit IMS pegs. Also, I think AC make nerfs that will fit with IMS/Roll pegs.

yeah if i were you i would get a different pair of nerfs...but its your choice!! good luck! :D

AC nerfs are made to bolt directly to IMS pegs. And no, IMS doesn't make their own. IMS/Roll Design nerfs are just AC nerfs with a new decal. AC even makes the heelguards for IMS.

i would not drill the pegs i would find a way to drill the nerfs or ditch them for some ones that are made to work with good pegs(IMS)

Yes, AC use to make IMS/ROLL heal guards and nerfbars but I'm pretty sure IMS/ROLL is now making their newer stuff. Well, they are not the ones making it, somebody else is making them for them. Someone other than AC. And it is a lot nicer too.
