Chevy 2500HD, Quad Cab, Short Bed w/ DuraMax and Allison Tranny. Plus ya gotta get the 6" Fab tech Lift Kitand Crome grill. Then you need Bead locks with BIG @ss Super Swampers.

At least that is my dream truck!

think about it this way, a few 01' 660 raptors had transmission problems *please correct me if i'm wrong on that* but not every single one had a problem just because a few did... it was one year, and they were still relatively new at the time... things are gonna break no matter what, they're not going to build everythign perfect because if they do, they wont make any more money... i personally like ford myself... but all you people bashin on all different makes, shut up because everyone is entitled to their own opinion... just quit the bashin of ford dodge chevy toyota... WHATEVER the make is... who cares, the dude wants a truck and wanted opinions on that truck, no what you all thought of ford in general, or chevy's better than ford, or buy domestic...

buying domestic or foreign doesnt matter when it's used... the maker of that vehicle already made their money on it when it was bought new... so it doesnt change anything...

like forest gump says **** happens so just buy whatever you want dude... the price is fine for that year and milage as long as there is little to no rust

if you have a problem dealing with vehicles breaking down... take the nike highway or jump on your huffy and pedal...

everybody listen to this dude alrite. he has a good point.

my dad has a 2005 2500HD (v8) crew cab and we both hate it. it has no power, it was sitting on the overloads whith just his tool boxes on it so we had to get hevy duty springs put in it and it still sags real bad. but he had an 01 dodge and that thing was awsome u could not squat that thing if u tryed and it had a ton of power. but i will say that dodges ride like crap but thay are a great truck.

and dont flame me on this and start crying cuz i dant like chevy.

I'll stick with Nissan :o . Even though I did have a ranger that was still running after 350k of miles, a transmission that puked automatic tranny fluid hourly, and a blown head gasket. All of them have their perks and what not, but Nissan trucks are still my favorite. Just wait until the Titan HD comes out :) .

Get a dodge. The way they smoke it helps keep the mosquitos down during the summer....:D

Lol :D :D
But only if it's a Cummins, that way you know that it's doing the right thing by smoking. The only way to buy a Dodge is if it's without a dodge engine :P.

Chevrolet!

the new 6.0 powerjokes are junk., but other than that, hate to say it, but the Furd's superduty's are nice trucks

Dodge has the motor in diesels, but the drive trian simply cant handle the power and breaks.

chevy has it all, but the IFS sucks. i am a chevy guy. Some imports arent bad, the Yota's are good trucks but i hate all import cars, ALL OF THEM.

Chicksdigme423
04-21-2006, 12:44 PM
this is it... for deisel... ford has half assed motor and tranny but good rest of the drive train (rear end, transfer case ect)... dodge has a good motor, but not the tranny and drive train to hold up to it, and the duraCRAPS;) is a dec. motor with a good tranny with an ok drive train...

just my .02

someone should figure out a way... to put the ford drive train with the dodge motor and the chevy transmission... THAT would be the ultimate deisel pickup truck:devil:

I would rather push my chevy any day rather then than drive any other make or model

but i shall not judge others for ther mistakes after all not everyone can afford or deserve the great luxury of owning and driving and getting the looks and thumbs up while goin down the road in an american peice of heritage

Long as you stay away from the 6.0 powerstroke, they are all good trucks. But I will be lookin for a 98 12v dodge next, not a powerstroke or duramax.

everyone is right about dodges trannys, and stuff, but im personally a dodge fan myself, with ford next, then chevy at the bottom oof the pack. IMO, the chevy lacks in power.

But yea like TCracin440ex said, in 4 years we will be driving hover cars... the way gas prices are these days. 3 bucks to fill up a moped tank. Cmon, thats terrible! :D

One of the best diesels ever made. They will run literally a million miles before having major stuff popping on them.
