rubber pull throu or steel bolt ons? The rims are itp baja. I ride mostly trails

I put the rubber pull throu in. first of all I out of the chrome bolt ons ( I use them in chrome sportbike wheels). I figured if a stick gets wedged in there the bolt on might break. The rubber wshould have a better chance of bending ( and Ive got about 100 of them).
