I would like to know if anyone has any experience with high end Ohlin shocks.

After talking with Zbroz apparently they are starting to sell their Ars-fx setups with Ohlin as well as Axis and, according to them, are having VERY good luck with the new Ohlins!

I run motowoz and would not run anything else again. And yes I have had elka's and ridden peps and the like.

i like PEP because they set them up for "you" and they ask tons of questions and set your shock up for they wy you ride and you set-up....

I like Fox Racing shocks just because they have something new with their Float's ( even though it did take a while to get here from the mountain bike industry ). They have a really nice fit and finish also and have been hearing that they are honestly really really good. Other than them PEP, Elka, and Axis are all great choices.

Didn't even know they made them in Titanium....Going to have to look into this now. Axis is Penske right?

Elka with Houser now, but if I had to do it again, I'd go with Walsh instead of Houser

Yup Axis is now a division on Penske, they have been for a couple years now. The whole shock isn't titanium, but recently they've come out with all titanium springs.

Alot of pros seem to be using ohlins this year.

I talked to one of the top MX pros last weekend and he said that Axis, Ohlins, and Fox were all excellent shocks. Everything else pales in comparison. I have only had works shocks in the past. I cant afford $2000 or $3000 for shocks. Heck, right now I cant afford Works shocks.

After doing some researching, I really like the Axis. From what I hear they really hold up good also.

I have Axis triple rate w/ compression for XC and love them. They soak up everything I can throw at them. I had Works then went to Elka on my old 250 and can honestly say I liked the Works better than Elka. The Elkas felt like garbage and all they wanted to do was roll in the coners no matter how I would adjust them.

I run ZPS TCS fronts, i love them, they r awesome, and worth every bit of what they cost,i prolly could have saved more money and bout axis or any other brand, but honestly these tcs do everything i put them through and i'm very pleased with them, not sure if the others r worth it,(they prolly r) but u cant beat tcs for the price and performance..

If you do not mind me asking how much was the TCS shocks?
I thought Axis was the most expensive. I know you can get titianium springs and all the other mods like compression and rebound, but i guess what i was trying to say is that i have done my research on shocks and i was suprised when you said that TCS was more expensive than Axis.

I think what he ment was he could have waited and saved up some more money then get axis. Ive owned Elka and Peps. Pep big bottles are the best shock Ive rode so far. Never really rode an axis setup.

Yea they are standard travel. God knows I don't have the cash for a long travel setup so I got these. I love these shocks and they work excellent with the GT Thunder revalve and link. If they are setup right I don't see any reason for someone to really spend the extra money on a longtravel setup for XC unless they are upper class racers.

any suspension is good, if you dial it in for you and for the track they will all work great! you just have to take the time to set them up for the style riding and wat kind of terain your on! i run elkas and always have they are great for me! and they are good to deal with and parts are pretty cheap for them if you stuff them some how! i would recomend elkas but thats my opinion and my opinion only!

I have elkas on my 450. They were stiff when I first got em, so I sent em to JH racing. They are alot smoother and work better now, but its like the faster I go on the track, the smoother they get. But if I were to get new shocks it would be PEP's, I rode my friends quad with em, and loved em.
