Hey,

I'm looking to get some Pro Tapers 1-1/8 or some Fatbars. I have a set of Renthals with the crossbar. But, I'm not sure what bend it is since it was already on the quad when I bought it 5 years ago.

What are some of the more popular bends that everyone's running? I see alot od CR-low, Cr-hi, Cr-mid, ATV Low, Atv mid etc.... I'm planning on adding a +1 stem this year also so I don't want TOO hi of a bend. I know you can go crazy with all the different bends but I'm curious what maybe the sponsored/pro folks here run as well.

Thanks,

Glamis

I have Pro Taper SE ATV-Lo bend bars with crossbar pad. I love em. They are pretty close to the stock 400EX bend, but are slightly lower and a little straighter. Consider how much you sit or stand when riding. A real low bar makes you have to lean over more when doing both. Whatever ones you get, definitely get Pro Tapers.

CR High bends would go well with a +1 stem. Would feel very natural. They are a bit too low though with a stock-length stem. Might have to live with that for a while until you get your stem.

How tall are you? Probably the #1 determining factor on bend.

If your shorter, you may want CR-High. If your taller you'll probably want an ATV bend. Stock stem height.

You should be aware that the same bend can vary dimensionally from manufacturer to manufacturer.

I've got the CR-HI bend from both Pro-Taper & TAG and they are not the same bar. I'm not sure what all the differences are, but the Pro-Taper is definately wider.

These are Fly's in Mini High bend and I love em! Most comfortable bend i've used so far. These would be kinda high with an extended stem, but with a stock-length stem they are perfect...maybe an inch or two higher than stock so you're not hunched over the bars. They are pretty much the same height as CR Double Highs, but a tad less sweep.

Is $13 to expensive for you? :huh If you like your $4 grips, good for you. I forgot that this was a competition to see who could buy the cheapest grips.

I don't know what they cost. My wife bought them for me for Christmas along with my TrailTech clamp and fat bar. :blah:

I'll pay $13 for comfortable grips. ;) Not having hammered/blistered hands is more than worth $13 to me. :)

89honda 250x, you need to change those grips to some better ones. Those wear fast as hell! The $13.00 gets you grips that not only feel, but last 100x better!
