I just have a few questions, I know some of you know.
Arent about 20,000 barrels of oil exported from the US a day? If so, does it all go to canada to be refined as gas only to be sent back? Wouldnt the cost drop somewhat if we were to refine it in the US? Or is it cheaper for them to ship it over the border, to be shipped back as fuel? I know 20,000 barrels isnt as much as it seems compared to the number thats imported a day. I was just wondering about them things. Thanks

Expense Amount per gallon
Production costs 33¢
Producer profit 95¢
Refining costs 40¢
Refining profit 10¢
Transportation costs 12¢
Transportation profit 9¢
Marketing costs 4¢
Marketing profit 4¢
Retailer costs 8¢
Retailer profit 8¢
US Taxes 19¢
State taxes (avg. 23¢) 6¢ to 39¢ details
Local taxes 0 to 20¢
TOTAL $2.65

I found this on the net, and I'm sure its a little old, but between the Production costs and the Producer Profits, on the profit, is that how much they come ahead or is the work bill included in there? If you know what I mean, like on the retailer costs and profits part, the profit of 8¢ is after the work bill right? Like they spend 8¢ and then make 16¢ that making there profit 8¢, right? Lol sorry for being confusing i'm just trying to get this stuff lined out in my head. Thanks again
