05 pipe on 06?

Just put an O5 full pipe on an 06. It fits perfect! They call for different pipes though. Anyone know what the difference between the pipes is or if there is a difference.. I can't find anything.:confused:

The stock headpipe has the same bends as the 05 HMF. It fits exactly the same as on my 05 sitting right next to it. No difference.:eek2:

you got one of the proto-type 05's
it has the 06 motor in the 05 frame.
its really rare, and only 3 made it out of the factory.



















OK OK I dont know how it fit, I heard they are different but dont have an 05 to compair to.

i have so far tried, FMF, nMotion, ESR, stock, ron woods off an 05 and not one of those came even close to mounting, the engine is tilted at a diff anle on the 06 so the header would not mount at the exhaust port on the motor.

i dont think you guys are quite understanding,, there is no reason for me to lie about this exhaust working on an 06,, he is riding the quad right now with the pipe on it,, fits perfect, no joke.

I called trinity to see if they had any 06 pipes out yet they told me the 04/05 pipe is the same. I argued with him just because I was told and have seen different part #'s from about every manufacture that offers 06. I would feel like a real dick if it would fit. Cuz I really want a trinity but I dont trust them.

the day i got my 06, Desratt had a extra full FMF factory 4 system, we tried the header, DID NOT FIT. now, what did fit was we put on a 06 HRC header with a 04/05 FMF Factory 4 can and mid pipe and that worked but there is no way at all you could get the 04/05 header to work unless you wanted to try to heat it up and bent it.... but why go threw that much time and possibly waste the money...


so you wont feel like a dick now lol cuz we proved that that header along with ESR, Stock header, and Nmotion WILL NOT FIT!

and i am not saying your a liar, just sayin i know for a fact that we tried various headers and no go, cuz the 06 motor is at a diff angle then a 04/05

soo would an 04/05 slip-on work on a trx450er with a hrc header?because i got the 06 hrc kit with the header and i'm looking only for a slip-on soo if the 04/05 slip-on would fit it would be soo cool!!let me know if that it's realy true thanks guys!!

on my 06 right now i have the 06 hrc header with a 04/05 FMF Factory 4 can and midpipe and it works fine but thats the only one we have tested was the FMF not sure with otheres.
