Hey my clutch lifter chippedd (loud crack) when i was putting my clutch cover back on. I used some aluminum putty (like JB weld) and fixed it up using the piece that broke. Its definatley straight, my question is will it hold.

mine did the same thing. just turn the lifter around of the opposite side of the crack is and use that if you must. i did that for a day since i was going to a track the next day. if you are in no need to go riding like immediatly then buy a new one.

Buy a new one. It is not worth having it in there. I know JB Weld is up there with duct tape and zip ties but i would not use it in my engine.

Even if it does hold up for a little, what happens when it does break and it sends metal pieces all throughout your engine. Buying a new one will most likely save you a lot of money in the future when u might have to repair your whole motor.
