Looks SWEET Ken ! Great Job ! Oh and bye the way the New XC A-arms are ready now too. I am shipping the first set out tommorow. They will put the front end at 42-44 inches depending on your set-up.

Did you have any problems with the Kick Start hitting the frame? Is there an electric start option for this engine?

Great looking quad! Would you build another one to sell? I need a XC version.

I had to modify the kick start lever to clear the frame, and I am working now on making more room for boot clearence etc. Yes, I can get the E Start version and we may do that to this quad shortly.

I can build the quad completly for you, and provide all need parts and fabrication etc.

man i wish my 06 90 was like that but i race stock class so i cant get the motor work u got on that but i9 wish we had enough money to get the suspension on that its ssoooo coool :mad: :p

I am supposed to cover Yadkinville for the site, but I doubt this quad would work well in the woods, not to mention the engine thats in it would be illegal:p


Ofcourse if someone had a XC quad we could race, we would be willing:D

kewl pappy... yadkinville is only about 25 minutes away from me... are you goin to bring the quad with you? i'd like to see it in person... the pics prolly don't do the bike justice.... i'll try to check back and see what you have to say....

Any idea on how long a kid will have fun on a modified 90 like pappy's? My son is 11 years old and weighs about 85 pounds. He man handles the 90 pretty good. But he is pretty smooth. You have to be with stock suspension. He just looks like in another year or so he can handle a 300ex or blaster. I don't want to sink any more cash into something he will be out of in a year. I am leaning toward the bigger quad.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

After working with my boy and the 300ex, I can say that it can be set up to work well for someone in your situation. The biggest draw back is weight. The quads are surprisingly similiar in overall dimensions, and a throttle limiter can be used to keep top speed in check.


Cody is learning his 300ex now, and has already been airing it out on a 400ex and YFZ! Cody is 4'9" and weighs in at 110

I think with the 300ex I can leave the motor stock (limit the throttle), spend some money on suspension and it should be enough quad to last years.

We rode some trails in Tennesse, Windrock, he was the only kids quad (trx90) in our group of 8. He rode 75 miles and never held up anyone. He did get high centered 2 or 3 times, but his quad is set up very low. The stock suspension really beat him up prety good. He was sore for two days.

my son races a 90 now and will next year also, but our next investment will be a 300ex. i can drop in a 125cc4stk or a 90 2stk and he can run the mod class till it's time to run 300 class.

Good point, didn't think about swapping a 2 stroke or other 4 stroke into the 300ex frame for a little while.
