question on berring instalation

Well I just took apart my berrings today to replace them. They are the front wheel berrings. The person that had these hubs before me did not put in any spacers in between the 2 berrings in the hub. The part I'm looking at is part number 5 in this service honda link.

What is your question?? You want to know if you need that spacer??

If your spindles are tapered then you need spacers or your bearings will be shot in no time from the torque of the nut when you tighten it up. if there the steped ones with two faces for each of the bearing iner races to sit on you dont use a spacer
