hey guys im lookin into a project quad and i came to the conclusion of mating a 250r rolling chassis wisth a crf450 motor, ive seen em around and i was just wondering how much time hours you gotta put into something like that and how much money you would have to put into it.

if its a stock frame it will need alot of custom work. then you will need suspention and a pipe that will be custom to the frame. the frame is to small to fit the top of the crf motor in it. they have aftermarket frames that are made to do this hybrid. aq 400ex frame would be more like a good canidate for the hybrid.

for every thing i say maybe around $4000, thats with out any thing at all but if u have the frame or motor that will make it cheaper and look for deals on ebay and local shops that are around your location. u realy dont need to go big $ brands like elka and others like that. there is a place that dose the 400ex hybrid frames and u send them the frame and they will make the frame usable for the crf motor. they are called atvfourplay.com. they do good work. pm me if u need more help.
