need to upgrade my carb. i have a 01 400ex, white bro's slip on, big gun cdi, k&n filter no air box lid, jetted, timing advance key. currently running a stock cab and want to upgrade. not sure on what carb and size to get. no plans on going big bore anytime soon but maybe someday. witch is the best carb for the money.
and why ???

Are you on a budget of any kind????

450 carb is the best bang for the buck.

if they are all pretty much equivalant i'd go for the cheaper but if i need to spend the extra money to get a major difference in performance then i would spend the money needed.

Yuuup

Slightly used 450R carb $100

FCR & Edelbrock $400+

Agree.

FCR will have a minor improvement.. but unless you have radical modifications, it really isn't worth the extra cash. Use that extra $300 elsewhere. ;)

just to through my view in

i love my edle brock its been awsome for over a year now
it holds up to all their claims and such

the only down side though a minor one it does take awhile to really dial it in but once you do its amazing my 300 almost never sputters or cuts out with this carb i would buy one for my next quad and i am thinking about getting one for my yamahah rhino
