I am selling my bike for two reasons. 1.) I don't have the money to fix it right now. and 2.) The local PD didn't like my exhaust on the truck, so that hit the wallet pretty hard.
It is a 1983 GS550. Inline 4 cyl. Brand new tires and front fork seals. Real nice looking bike as you can see in the pictures.
Now the ugly part.
-Carb on the left needs replaced. Water got in it and rusted everything. Suzuki discontinued them, but the junkyard wanted between 150-170 for a new (used) one.
-Left 2 cylinders are rusty from water, and hold only 30 pounds of compression. So you're looking at new rings, if water didn't seep down into the lower end.
-Needs a battery
I'm sure I have said everything. I took it to the shop to get the carbs rebuilt and this is what they told me. If need be, I can get that all in writing.
