Curtis Sparks Question

How loud is the sparks system in dB's? Ive read thats its loud in one thread and then in another thread i read that its not loud. I dont know which thread to believe. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Depends what bike and what core. My 400ex with a standard core was loud. But my yfz with a big core was echo off the hills ear piercing loud.

gotcha. so pretty much its loud either way. I guess I have to look at other pipes then. Thanks

The one for the 400ex is loud, but its not any louder then any other pipe out there. It was quite a bit quieter then the dmc I had.

The sparks race (turndown) is very loud.
The sparks spark arested (diffuser plates), is significantly quieter than the full race version.

But, they are both still very loud. The only common pipe out there that's louder than the sparks race, on a 300ex, is the TC shorty.

Depending on the quad.. you're going to be running between 100-110 decibles at 50% rpms.
