come on any one else have n e experiance with maiers

i have maiers on my 400ex, they have held up well, been as good as stock, i didn't like drilling them at all, but that is how the need to be mounted. i like to try different things so i would not get a set of maiers next time...just to try out one of the other 2 though, not because they are maiers

ok thanks

so i should probably try another brand jus to make sure they hold up best?

if you want maier, get maiers, they are good.

if i put anything on my 450r, it will be something different just so it does not have the same things as my 400ex...the only thing i would do the same is maybe go white...

i just bought maier my self and did not have to drill any holes. the only thing i didnt like is that the head lights were a very tight fit. i think i might buy a scoop and light somewhere else.

Nice! Where'd you race at? Is that anywhere in Nebraska (if it is let me know, i want to race soon), or GNCC?

I don't have any experience with the new maiers but the old ones were not very good at all. I have heard very good things about the new gen.

Lakers are thin but good plastics.

Fullbores are the best - their only downfall is price.

laker is the same thickness as the maier

Then the new Maiers must not be very good then, huh?

Maybe I just heard about the Lakers being flimsy rather than thin?

I'm by no means trying to bag on them (I don't have any personal experience to go by, just stories), I'm just saying what I hear.

They do look very sharp on your four pokes though. The way those front fenders swoop up is sexy. Those elephant ear handguards are killing me though... lol.

they are definately not for looks but they sure do keep the mud off your hands thats the important part :D
