Who runs K&N?

I need the part # for a K&N for an 06, but cant find any info out there to order. I ordered one from RMATV and had to send it back cause it was for the 04-05

I know ALOT of you prefer foam, I dont want a lecture on why I dont want to use foam either.This is our preference.

If anyone has the info, could you please post it. thanks :)

The part number is BD-6500, it is the same filter that DS650 uses.

Is this the same one for the 06 with the HRC kit ??This was also some of the problem ordering before.

I thought that part number sounded familiar and That one is NOT compatible with the HRC.We ordered that one before and its wont work with it .

quadjunkies, call k/n direct...it may be released, but not listed in any books yet [parts unl, tucker, etc].

the same w/ my twin air i ordered for my 06, twin air just released the new filter april 7th. i got the new part # directly from them and was able to order it.

Do you have the HRC kit??

I suggested my Ole man call, but he said they wont know if it goes to a 450r w/hrc or not.

I think he might be wrong on that one .:o

i just called k&n and they do not have one at this time. the gentleman was not sure of a time frame for one, but i was told to check back in a month or so.

I know someone locally who runs one on his Wifes 06, but unsure if its got the HRC kit or not. Ill have to ask what one they use, I guess its some universal one.

Im gonna ask a guy tomorrow at practice what his Wife runs. She has one on her 06 I believe, just not sure if she has the HRDC though.

Yas i have the HRC kit on my 06.It dont matter anyway because all the kit changes on the intake side is jetting and you take off the filter lid.Thats why i said you cant go wrong with this because it comes with the outerware.Then you go to Walmart and get 3M water repellent spray and spray the outerware and it blocks out water also.

The HRC kit has nothing to do with the filter!!! The only thing you can get now in the K&N is the proflow kit with K&N it will be months before a regular k&N will be ready for the 06 as the manufactures that make the proflow kits have contracts with K&N to manufacture their filters first. (so we have been told)

I have an 06 w/ hrc kit and ordered the ebay one listed above.
it was a perfect fit and I love it, comes with billet collar that seals really good and an outerwear pre-filter.
pappy is correct the hrc kit does not consist of a filter or airbox upgrade. it just leaves the lid off and jets the carb and a diff needle.
if it fits an 06 it dont matter hrc or not.
the ebay pro-flow is good quality IMO.
