Well, I've been thinkin that after I move, I'd like to save up and get a new dirtbike. I was thinin about either buying brand new, or atleast '04. I want some unbiased opinions on the best bike to get. I have a 125 2 smoke right now, I'm lookin into getting either a 250 2 smoke or 250 or 450 4 stroke. I definately want more power than a 125 2 stroke. Mostly I ride mx tracks, but I like to screw around a lot, and ride some trails. I'm not a pu**y and dont have a problem with riding a 2 stroke on trails, it's not hard. I think I'd really like to get a 4 stroke, but I'm not sure, I know I like 4 strokes, but I've never ridded a 2 stroke 250 yet, so I don't know how I Like them. I'm about 190lbs, 5' 10" but I don't think I'm done growin yet. I really have always wanted a KTM. I for some reason don't really like suzuki dirtbikes, but if it has an advantage over others I'll go for one. Just gimme some opinions, thanks!

I had a Yzf250 or whatever the 4 stroke dirtbike is and that thing moved my 200 lb *** through the woods like crazy. Great bike.

I dont know much about bikes at all. But Ive heard the YZFs are overall best and the CRFs valves need adjusting a lot. Never really heard anything bad about the RM or KXF.

When are you moving? By that time i'd probably have 2 06 KX250f's for sale. Used race bikes arent worth ****, so I could probably sell you one for like 3 grand. All my bikes have custom 180 graphics, one industries seats, applied triple clamps, renthal bars, dunlop tires, pro circuit titanium exhausts, SFB waterpump covers, asv unbreakable levers, porting and polishing, pro circuit titanium valves, high comp pistons, Pro circuit holeshot devices, White brothers footpegs, rubber mounted triple clamps to reduce vibration, and a bunch of other stuff.

Heres a picture of one of my 05's. It's not quite done yet, cause i cant even ride for 3 more weeks.

Applied clamps arent on yet, but the renthals and rubber mounts are.

honestly if i had to do it all over again and buy a bike i'd buy a 2006 crf450 instead of my crf250...

the 250fs are fun and are great for a TRACK only but the 450s are so nice for play riding... they have the power to play around on natural jumps easier... u can jump alot more with them... also on a track with the 250fs and 125s u have to be screaming at jumps to clear them... the 450s u just blip the throttle and ur over it...

mxfourtwoeight......Well problem #uno is I'm movin to iowa, so I'd be far away from you, and problem numero dos...is I think I'm leaning more towards a 450, so thanks for hte offer anyway. I think right now, it's between the KTM450 the YZ450 or the KX450....I absolutely love KTM, and my bro in law and his friend live by them, said they were the most reliable and durable bikes he ever owned. Plus the KTM already has siiiick graphics and all the crap STOCK for 06! I would barely have to do anything. Instead of putting money into body and wheels and crap, I could just get suspension since I know that's their weak point. I dunno, I guess I'll have to see if I can ride the 3 when I move, although I'm not picky, hell, I've beeen riding a '93 KX125 for the past like 2 yrs, shows u how not picky I am! so if the KTM isnt really behind the other bikes, if it's just a lil quirky, I may go with it, not sure. I still gotta do some advertising and get some business once I move before I could afford anything though. I'm moving sometime in may.
