It makes enough of a difference for the amount of time (10-15 minutes) & money (0) to be worth it. Throttle response is better, but you won't be challenging John Force for any speed records

You need to up the pilot jet. Stock is 38, most people go to 40 or 42. Give the throttle a couple of pumps & fire it up. Of course, Minnesota is just a bit cooler than southern Nevada, so you may want to ask someone who lives in the a cold area. I am still using the stock pilot in my carb. During winter I may go to a 40. You might want to try a 40 or 42 in the summer, and a 42 or 45 in the winter, but that is a total guess on my part.

If you are rich between idle & 1/4 throttle, go to a smaller pilot. What is you air screw set at, and what elevation are you at? If you are rich between 1/4 & 3/4 throttle, drop the needle. If you are rich from 3/4 to WOT, drop the main.

I think in the tech section there is an article about jetting, take a look at it.

When i removed my choke it started fouling plugs is it the mixture screw or the main jet:huh

Your choke only has to do with starting and idle when its cold..if you are fouling plugs when its warm then check your main jets if you changed them and go down one size and give it a try again..

The reason why i asked if it was the mixture screw is because when you remove the choke it increases air flow do you still think it is the main:huh
