Stock header !!!!

I'm thinking about getting an exhaust for my trx 450r. Should i spend the extra money on the full system. Or is the stock header a decent header. I was going to go with the stainless steel header, is it the same as stock?? I thought the only reason to change the header is if your replacing it with titanium, or what ever. Your opinions would be helpfull thanx.

If you are not going to do any mods to the engine, a slip-on exhaust will be sufficient.

i ordered the esr airbox eliminator and hot cams stage 1.

If you are getting a cam, I would go ahead and get the full system. That way if you wanted to go with a higher compression piston you would already be set, as far as exhaust goes.

oh and by the way when you get your new header hold it up to the stock one to see how much bigger the aftermarket one is. u can prob. bet its only gonna be just a little bit bugger. thats why i kept stock header

IMO the best header for a 450r is the HRC. Honda has really done their homework on the kit. But since you've already ordered the hotcam, I wouldn't get the whole kit, but would still go with the HRC header. JMO

the header is a very important part to change.. thats why the hrc kit has a new one.
