easy pipe question!

being that the exhaust is already made by yoshi, is the header pipe the same as the one provided with yoshi's full exhaust? if it isnt, is it worth it to get the full exhaust? i havent seen a dyno that compares the stock with bafle removed, a slip on, and a full exhaust. anyone know?

From what I've heard from some of the pipe manufacturers, is that the stock header is nearly perfect. They could squeeze a bit out of it, but not enough to really warrant a new header for your average rider.

Only reasons I forsee getting adifferent header is if you're a pro and every tiny bit counts, want to change the power curve, or want a lighter header (titanium).

i'm not sure about the lt, but yah on the yfz there is no point in changing the header... the stock is like the exact same size as aftermarket, so there isnt a whole lot of reason to change it... the lt could be the same way

Thats the only reason i can see changing it for. I have a full system on mine that the dealer put on before I even looked at it and i see no difference between my header and my friends stock header except the material its made from.

any titanium systems out there?? im thinking an aftermarket headpipe will be pretty much a waste of money unless overall i get a good weight savings. i wonder how well a carbon fiber muffler will hold up in that location? im thinking better than the usual location due to less spray from rocks etc

the yosh header is larger than the stocker.starts out the same then steps up.dont think any gans are to be had just a different curve.the stocker maybe ok in stock trim but if you plan to do any motor mods like porting and hc piston than i would say go with the full system.there have been a few companies out there that actually lost hp with a different header.
