1ft wide, 1 ft long, by one ft tall, I thkn it's more like 1728 cubic inches.

That would be a square foot.
A cubic foot (scanning back to tenth grade) should be 1ftx1ftx1ft

yup, 64 pounds per cubic foot. I was going to post that but I didn't think anyone would care. Plus that's only for water.

Straight out of the AISC manual I have on my desk. (yes I cheat. lol).
Gold (cast/hammered) = 1205 lbs / sqft
Steel (rolled) = 490 lbs / sqft
Aluminum (cast/hammered) = 165 lbs / sqft
Magnesuim Alloy = 112 lbs / sqft
Titanuim (not in the book) weighs 282 lbs / sqft
For a comparison 1 sqft of White Pine Lumber is only 26 lbs / sqft
