it is closer than the dunes or sicily island...there were not too many there that day...saturday...the locals I talked to said saturdays are usually slow and sundays are usually packed...it is about 2 1/2 hrs for me prolly about 2 for you..I beat everything I lined up against saturday...I stretched my paddles it helped but still too much wheelspin....guess i gotta open the wallet again. i want to go back soon but it will be about 2 weeks before I can go....ashley shattered the piston on her blaster so I got the motor out...think i will do a few mods while I got it down. glad it was her on it when it went...lol I was playing around on it about an hour before...;)

Where are you getting paddles from and who makes them? I need staight paddles badly... can't find Haulers and can't afford Rippers, and I don't know anything else that will hook pretty well. My buddy picked up a set of Rippers for his 370r and it was like $400.00+ some odd dollars. Alot for just the rear! He said that the list for Haulers is sooo long, and the list to get them is just getting longer and longer.

Anyway, sucks that she's out of a bike. Sneak in a few parts while she's got her head turned and tell her that it's running so strong because you hooked it up. :)...... :D !

So, you guys may be going again soon? I will try to cut out some plans pretty soon. I have got to check that place out.......:blah:

we will probably go in a few weeks...the paddles I have are the kings turbo 8 paddle...they are decent but not enough paddle for my quad. she shot a few videos of me running it so i could study it. I have like a 4ft rooster tail the whole way down the track...just a big spray....with lots of wheelspin out the hole. i want to get the 21x12x8 8 paddle haulers. they have a place in lafayette that stocks them just have not made it out that way. i still have the recon she can ride...lol i can put my zippers on it for the sand

the name is sand hill....in slidell get on I 59 pass thru picayune keep going until you see poplarville wiggins exit...it is hwy 26 i dont remember the exit #. when u exit go right....about 15 miles..u will see a sign entering stoned county....yes stoned some jackass put a d after stone....anyway right at that sign there is a country store at a 4 way intersection....go right...that is magnolia rd. about 6 miles it dead ends go left about 2 miles u will pass a nursery (the plant kind). start watching on your right for wire rd. take it about 3/4 mile. you will see a small sign that says sand hill on the left....a gravel rd. it is about 1/2 mile back. a guy in a red chevy truck comes collect...it is 20 per quad. let me know when u want to go. i am going to order her parts maybe tomorrow and split the case on the blaster this weekend to clean it out. hopefully it wont take long. but i will have to wait on her piston so i can get it bored. i just told her we gonna put the zippers on the recon....lol

Thanks a bunch for the info! So, when are you gonna pick up some paddles? If you find out how much they cost let me know. I NEED straight paddles.

prolly soon want to see how much her build is gonna cost first....you know how that goes....hmm maybe a carb....or the classic.....that port really doesnt cost that much....lol rocky mountain atv sells haulers. i almost got some 3 weeks ago but deciced to stretch the ones i have first to see how it would do. well 3 weeks ago they had the extremes but i waited...one of my friends was over here last week and wanted to order some but when we checked they were sold out....guess u snooze u lose.

Yep... it sucks, too. I am pretty happy right now, I ordered a HRC kit for my 450r a few days ago and I am working on cash for some HMF exhaust. I am gonna have one heck of a time when we go out there. Last trip to the dunes and all we had was a mostly stock 400EX.:scary:

Haha, found some 9 paddle Haulers on Douglas rims on Ebay. Trying to see if maybe I can get those. You think that I would be able to pull 9 paddle haulers? Seems like alot of paddle, but still, it isn't over the top bad and I am dropping my gearing down anyways.

bayou boy

it may pull them....get em and see. if they dont work on the 400 you can always use them on the 450. i think for a flat drag you will be ok for hill shot maybe start lugging. mine spins the crap out of an 8 paddle though....lol u be the guinea pig

LMAO, OK. I think that I am gonna try and get them. If I don't like them I am sure that I can sell them for a sh$t load around here when a big event comes down. :p

I'm still here. The track was in Dequincy,LA. It's about 3 hours from Baton Rouge, and its not that big. I was actually at my grandparents house when we found it! You would be better of going to the Spillway in Norco because its alot bigger.
