question on paddles??

i have a stock 05 400ex, i just purchased a pair of back paddles for really cheap and they are 20x10x8 and have 10 straight blades on them, do u think i have enough power to have fun w/ them or would i need to pipe it?

Even piped, 10 paddles is too much for a 400EX. It takes pretty serious HP to need 10 paddles.

Yeah, I agree that 10 paddles is more than what you would want on a 400EX without some good engine mods. Something more along the lines of an 8 paddle is probably the most that I would shoot for.

How much did you pay for them and what are they... just wondering? If you decide to let them go, I am looking for some straight paddles.:D

try em out - my 10 pdl haulers are SWEET!! - I' m built pretty good thou - but try em' - theres no such thing as too much hookup in the sand - I'll never run anything else on mine -

I run SAND STARS on my 05 400EX. They have 8 paddles and do a kick *** job on the dunes.... Get some good roosting action out of them. The others may be right, 10 may be a little much for stock.
