Not another wheel spacers thread!

Well I'm planning on buying a dirt bike at the end of the summer and keeping my quad. I want to widen my quad about a inch and a half on each side but not to wide because I do mainly trail riding. I really don't want to spend more then $130 on the spacers. Do you guys think its a good idea for trail riding? I don't do and insane jumping of anything crazy. Please don't answer my question if you never had wheel spacers or have anything to support your answer. Also, I did search but I didn't find anything. If you know a thread that would answer my question please post it.

How do they compare to the 400ex front end conversion?

dont get them for trail riding. You will have a better ride with the stock width in the rough stuff.
