250r or banshee?

Lookin for a new bike,2 stroke. Just wondering, what do you thinks better? 250r or banshee? What are some of the advantages/disadvantages? Thanks ,Neil

250r- handling and aftermarket parts good trail bike, AWESOME race bike

Banshee- king of fast, aftermartket parts, ok race bike, does fine in the trails and cheap to mod.


I love both you cant get me off either my banshee of my friends 330r, I would take a R over the banshee because of the handling and the products you can buy for them.

The banshee has more power than the 250r, and that is about the only advantage. The banshee motors can be built to make un godly amouts of power. The 250 is about 60 pounds lighter, has betterhandling, a better geometry, and can easily be built to make very good power throughout the whole RPM range. And the 250r is one of the most reliable 2 strokes ever made, even when you start modding them and put in big bore top ends, etc.


Unless your planning on doing strictly hill shooting, or drag racing get a 250r.

Well I plan on doing about 75% dragging,and the other 25% just messing around.

Sounds like the banshee would suit you better.

i would get a banshee then if i was u. if i remember correctly you have a drag blaster? banshees are great for drag racing. (anything thats just requires going straight)

Yeh I had a drag blaster,sold it. That's why im looking for somethin bigger. I need something different to work on.

like TheFontMaster said, they R will last with alot of mods on it for a long time, and IMO, the banshee seems to need to get fixed alot? but IMo, go with the R

Not really, my cousin beats the piss out of his and barley takes care of it beside washing it and it runs perfect.

I had my banshee for almost five years and only changed the oil and cleaned the airfilter and rode it like crazy.
