Anyone running one of these.I hear theres a company out there Protect and they make them. Are there any downfalls other than the weight.Im just wondering if it will damage anything else being so strong and not absorbing much!Steel will hold up though!!!!!

aluminum will hold up just as well as steel

one downfall you gotta look at is... if this skidplate is so strong and you smash a rock and the skidplate dont give a lil, whats the next thing thats gonna break if your skidplate dont?..... swingarm mounts, swingarm. you dont want something thats so strong its just gonna bent and instead bent up your swingarm.

also dont forget, if you bend it real good while out riding, you may have to bend it back [emergency repair]. you would be able to bend the alum back but steel would have to be done back @ the house.

Ask Ronnie about this he has been using these for years and hasnt had a problem and he is a pro racer so I think he puts them to the test:macho They do bend and you can bend them back just like aluminum.:blah:

I orderd the PRM.I have one on my LT250 Quadracer and it looks indesctructable.I am afarid that instead of damaging the skid plate ill be ripping out the mounts and stuff. If the PRM dont hold up steel is my next resort!!!!!
