bigger carb?

My 300ex engine is stock besides a K&N. If i put a bigger carb on, maybe a 400ex carb, would i see a big power gain? would i see any gain?

What all would be involved in the installation?

I would get a pipe and change up the gearing first. Than get a 400ex carb. Use the search button there are threads on this.

you only need a bigger carb, if you need more fuel in the combustion chamber ex: performance filter or performance pipe or longer duration camshaft or larger displacement or porting. just double check with your dealer, that the 400 carb is only 1 or 2 mm bigger. If it is you could get away putting it on there if you also have a pipe. I put the 400ex carb on my 350x, but thats because i have alot of work done to it. just make you jet correctly!!!

I think i'll wait untill i get a pipe and all that rest of the goodies before i get a new carb.
