05 hrc lid on 06 air box?

does anyone know for sure if the 05 hrc lid will fit on an 06 airbox?

i run xc and do not want to remove the lid off my 06 completely because of getting water in there but the 05 hrc lid has a big hole cut into the the top with a flap to help gaurd against water.

The hrc lid has a turn down that will not clear the filter on the 06 as it did on the 05. This is because the 06 has a much larger filter. I have already tried it

i have a aftermarket filter that is not as long as the stock filter. i was told by a few others that it will clear. were you using a stocvk filter or an aftermarket when you tried it?

I tried both the stock and uni filters and it will not work
