well i have the upper shock mount relocator and i put z400 triple rate front shocks on it but they were only valved to 195 with +2 a-arms. i have +2 a-arms on my 300 but they were so soft. i came out of a wheelie and hit the ground and i put othere shocks on it and the same thing happend. my wieght is 250lbs. im puting stock z400 shocks on it tomarrow will that be better or no? should i get 450r shocks?

I did the same thing and got the same results with 400ex shocks. Way too soft. I am ordering a set of Yamaha warrior shocks this week andI am going to see if that helps. It should lower the ride as well. I will let you know how it works out.

you need to get 450r shocks they are alot more adjustable than woorior or 400 ex and ltz 400 shocks i think they are the best stock shocks on the market

well yu have to think even though they are made for a z400 with a 195 pound rider you are still 50 pounds heavier than what the shock is valved for. even though it is a 300ex it is not really all to light so i personally would think that stockers would not work any better than after market. i would just try to get those aftermarket shocks revalved
