Wow, that sucks.... Before you burn it down, you can give it to me though.... I wouldn't mind having another quad for free;) That sucks, don't know what it would be, but you said wires were ripped out of the solenoid, so make sure you got those back in the correct spots.. Check your plug to..

I hate when I accidentally bump that, and it takes me like a minute to realize it...

no offence but don't blame the bike i think i would blame whoever put the brake line on the exhaust and built the battery box

??????????????????????????????
um what are you talking about. white smoke is a collant leak in the combustion chamber. white smoke has nthing to do with bad rings.

blue smoke does indicate bad rings or valve seals. because that causes oil to be allowed into the combustion chamber.

wouldnt there be battery acid? plexi glass? ........... 400ex doesnt have any coolant fluid besides oil........... blue smoke means an oil leak somewhere... but not specifically the rings...somewhere in the combustion chamber.... valve seals maybe? ...........it maybe even very very very light blue but my blue smoke showed up more under load.......... white is usually condensation
