i just bought a set of rear turf tamers for my R and i need to groove them but am not sure which pattern to do if someone has a set of the nac's grooved turf tamers that have been grooved please send me some pics of them so that i will know which knobs to cut out thanks ryan

You can use a hot knife, or a good set of sharp, heavy duty wire snips.

I know you can groove them for different track conditions ie. soft loam, hard packed, etc. From what I've seen and the few sets I've ridden they hook up well.

It's mostly to taper them to the desired hook up for the track conditions. It allows you to make it hook up more or less for the conditions, and which way the tire will bite. Yes I've only seen it done in MX.

I have seen them grooved for drag racing also, they just took out whole rows.

I would have to say no, since that is opposite ends of the spectrum. (sticky -> slick)

is there a type of chart or anything that has like all the diffrent ways u can groove them and what theyd perform the best on
or can some1 post up close pics of their grooved nacs tamers so i can see the pattern they use

I called nacs and they said the way they grove them fo ris for sandy conditions.. I dont really ride sandy conditions is there another style i could grove them for?? Thanks Rob
