motor question

the motor i have now is a 310, it needs a new head and i dont have the money right now, but i do have a stock unused piston and i can pick up a stock cylinder for cheap, now my question is, seeing as how the motor is now a 310, is the rod longer or anything allowing me not to run stock piston/bore for a month or 2 until i can fix the 310?

Nope, you can run the stock piston. Do you know what year rod you have? This will determine your cylinder and piston.
