xr400r side case on 400ex

Does anyone know for certain if an entire XR400 side case with a removable clutch cover will bolt on to a 400ex. I am pretty certain it will, but I don't have one handy to check. Plus I have never seen anyone else do it. I have seen a xr400 kick start intalled on a 400ex using the right center case and other parts though. thanks

It will bolt on but you'll need someone to fabricate a plug for the kickstarter hole.

Installing a kickstarter on a 400ex is around $700 - $800 total.

is it possible to put a kickstarter onto a 400ex i know some guys have tryed and failed i didn't think it was even possible

its possible, but you need the cases and clyinder head and cover for it to work right. its easier to jsut drop a xr400 motor in a 400ex frame.
