Should i use a pressure washer on my engine? I have heard i shouldn't because there is a chance of water getting into it?

I pressure wash the crap outa my Motor (250r). No problems here. But on a 400ex, watch out for those fins, They can break off kinda easily.

It's not recommended to use a pressure washer but it does make things easier...open up the owners manual and read thru it,,I think within the first 5 pages it states not to use them..:huh

Main problem is the rubber seals and stuff..if you go easy on those but you can preasure wash the snott outta the rest... And NO you wont blow fins off the engine..LOL.

My advice though is not to use pressure washers.

I think he was referring to the fins on the oil cooler. I blast the crap outta my engine..............no worries. Just watch the decals on the plastic :huh

That could be..???? Maybe bend them, but bust them out I don't think so. If that was the case then many cars and trucks would have a lot of problems...

you posted a couple of pitures for me a while back, bar clamp and gas cap with check valve, i finally tried to order them, george told me the gas caps with check valves were having a problem with the gas coming back out. that they were going to have to redesign them, so i ordered one with a breather. i was just wondering if u had that problem with yours, i sure liked the cap without the vent tube. :(

I really haven't had any probs..it does leak a little..but nothing you would be really worried about. You hardly even see any gas even, just a little wet around the catch tray below the gascap. Yeah he told me the same thing, they are going to make the ball inside smaller so it doens't leak as much. Personally I love it and no complaints at all with the old style one.
