i know this isnt in the right fourm... but more people will see it here

welll i just got my motor back from my engine builder and he re-built it... we'll i put it back in my bike and cranked it up... there is an unusually loud ticking noise to the engine? i'm wodering if tis will hurt anything if i ride it... it cranks up fine and runns fine but ticks loudly... i called my engine builder and he said everything was fine when he took it apart and re-built it... so i was wondering what ya'll thought could be some common ticking noises?

usually ticking is the valves being to tight right? they probablly need adjusting.

Normally its when the valves are not tight enough. If they were to tight the valves could hit the piston and do alot of damage. Thats were I would start.
