I am going to be getting a bigger quad and was wondering if you have to run 91 octane or higher?

actually its 91, but i had to run 85 once and it didnt effect anything but i usually run 91 only ran the 85 cuz it was emergency...

91 is the highest you can get at the pump in cali.

Same in Arizona.:rolleyes:

The manual states 91 pump octane or higher.

I thought in the manual it is just a sugestion because it also says I should run 91 or higher in the manual of my 400ex.

You should run at least 91 in a 400ex. I always run 93 in both my 400ex and my 450r

You should look at it as extra insurance, especially as the fuel sits and gets old. I run 91 in my 10.75:1 warrior and a stock 9.2:1 warrior. With them being air cooled, heavy loads like slow, steep trails can create excess heat, the more insurance against pinping the better. I run 108 leaded in my R.:D

I have to run at least 100 octane in my R!
