We will be attending the Round 3 BUCCS race this weekend - Who else is?? It's a 6.5 hour one way trip for us - about the same as the Round 2 Crow Canyon race - Which was well worth it. You can get info about the race at www.buccs.tv

You will have to join AMA as well as get a district 12 AMA card. The district card is like $5 or $10. The AMA is more $$ plus entry fee to race. For the first race the focus should be to have fun and finish. This is hard to do when the adrenaline starts flowing. The tendancy is to ride over your head. My first race I went over the bars and bent the steering stem (nice bruise too).

Well, we made it back alive - finished 2nd.
The course was new, but had many existing interconnecting trails that made it hard to follow without getting lost or just becoming unsure of the course for at least the first two laps. The conditions were extremely dusty and the heat was exhausting...
Anyone else go??

I was there for about a 1/3 of a lap - spent the rest of the day in the ER.

Johhny Gallager's Team won Pro.
Scott Barron's Team Won A/B Class - Does'nt Scott Barron race Pro at the GNCC's??? No big deal, we beat them once, and they got us this past weekend.

After one of the high speed open sections the trail turned to go down a slight decline. I think I slid around the corner and hit a rut - not sure what I hit because of the dust. I think I was in 4th gear. I got thrown over the bars and slid and rolled a good ways. The quad rolled atleat 5 or 6 times. I have scapes on both knees and elbows. I cut open my left fore arm pretty good. I fractured my left "pinky" finger and my left elbow. I got an ambulance ride to Mercy Hospital in Canton were I spent Sat. night. They had to put me under to clean up my arm and stitch it back together (not sure how many stitches). The cut was pretty bad. I have spent most of the week so far laying around with my arm propped up on ice. I go back Friday to have it looked at. My chest protector saved me big time. It has some pretty good scapes on it. I landed on my chest first.
