Broken Idle Cable

Hey all,

I somehow broke my idle screw cable tonite, and was wondering if anyone can help me find a fix for it.

Do I have to buy a new carb, or can it be fixed?

I bought a 400ex that had a broken idle cable. Just take the black plastic cover off the right side of the carb and turn the idle screw manually with a needle nose plyers. It works for me.

You can order a new one from Honda, part # 16028-HM3-L00. $7.26 from ServiceHonda.

Mine broke too. Like maxamillion, I just use needle nose to adjust my idle. I don't have to take the cover off the carb--there's a little nub still there to grab onto.
