strong is not always better. I would much rather have my $70 handle bars bend than my $350 steering stem.

But I have to say. I like my renthals also. I have the 400ex bend on my 300ex and I love them.

yea thats true, but if your wrecking hard enough to bend you steering stem im sure that you've got alot more than just that to worry about, i wouldnt know though i've never done it.

If you're wanting bars just based on how stong they are, then Pro Taper and Factory 909 have the strongest on the market. A friend of mine rides MX, and said he recently switched to the Factory 909 brand, because he'd broken or bent so many sets of Renthals. He was also telling me that he'd gone to a trade show not too long ago, and was able to see them test the overall strength of the top bars on the market. And he was very disappointed with how the Renthals performed during the test.

Now, I'm not gonna rag on Renthals, they're still a good bar. I know tons of people who have used them and had excellent luck. But after some of the stories I've heard recently and some of the bent or broken sets I've seen firsthand, I know that I'm going to stick with my Pro Tapers.

I run renthals on my 300ex. I'd reccomend renthals, protaper, or 909's. Your choice. I'd pick wich ever ones you like the best.

Flexx bars rock.. but way too much for a 250ex. ;)

A lot of people like the CR-Hi bend for their bars.. others that want a slightly talller bar use the ATV bend.

I personall like the CR-Low bend.. but...... I'm short, and a little weird.. lol.

my friend just snapped his renthals in mid-air the other day. but you could see they had a crack in them before hand from a previous roll. most of the major brands (renthal, tag, 909, protaper) are going to be good. but like someone said, if your bars dont bend the next thing that will go is your stem. i've had good luck with my longhorn bars from rockymountain. they are big bars (7/8") and require a different clamp. i have crashed REALLY hard twice with them. one was off a 50ft double (shoots me a good 10-15ft in the air) and went flipping head over heals away. and another one on my freestyle double (was set at 47ft) where it slightly bend my stem, but the bars seem fine. i have the cr high bend... but they are way to low imo unless you have an extended stem.

the only spot on my quad i ever settled for something other than the absolt top of the line was my bars. I had broken my stock ones clean off so i wsa broke and desparte i scrownged together the cash i ahd (took part of a weeks pay check) and went onlien in search of some decent bars. I stumblesd acusse a seemingly unknown brand called srp. THey have been awsome bars.

I got the 400ex bend and have loved them since i bought them they look and have the same features as the 909s but dont carry the same price. Im sure they arent quite as good as the 909s but i have loved mine

all that said i dont flip my quad very often I usualy ride out of mos tof my messes or save the quad so i dont knwo how they faitr in a roll over
