View Full Version : installed rear elka... lost a bit of oil ??

i installed my rear elka and i had to loosen the nut off the shock cause my hose for the rezzie was coming off the wrong side and lost a bit of oil from the shocks.... will that cause any problems ??

if it was just a little bit them no it wont hert anything but if it was alot then i would get it looked at.

what side is your line comming off.i just installed mind and it was comming off the shifter side of the quad.i didn't have to disconnect the line,but it was tight.the line seems to bent and it seems to be at a weird angle.

You did what? You probably lost some nitrogen as well as oil. Have someone check the nitrogen pressure in it! its supposed to be 150psi. What bike do you have? if its a 450R its supposed to go on the shifter side if a YFZ its supposed to go on the right.

yeah thought about the pressure also what happens if its to low ??? im riding tonight so it would be good to know

Every little bit of oil effects performance. You also effect the piston in the ressie. You should never try to change hose postion yourself.
